Principal
Mr. Scott Ellison
Scott Ellison is a lifelong resident of Jemison and a graduate of JHS class of 1997. Coach Ellison received his undergraduate degree in Political Science and has a Masters in Education and a Masters in Instructional Leadership, all from the University of Montevallo. He is married to Alex Ellison, also a lifelong resident and JHS Alumnus. They have been married for 18 years and have two children, Dylan, a Freshman at JHS this year and Alivia, a student at JIS. Coach Ellison began his teaching career at JMS in 2004, since then he has served as a classroom teacher, coached all three boys' sports, served as Vice Principal and now Principal.

Assistant Principal
Mrs. Rachel Holmes
Rachel Holmes earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Kinesiology and Education from the University of Montevallo. She began her career in education at Jemison Middle School in 2016 and has proudly served the Jemison community ever since. During her time at JMS, Mrs. Holmes has taught Physical Education and Life Science. She has also served as the Girls Basketball Coach throughout her career and has assisted with softball and volleyball at various times during her career. She is passionate about supporting students both academically and athletically. Mrs. Holmes is married to her husband, Jonathan, and they have one son. She is grateful to work in the same community that helped shape her educational journey and is dedicated to making a positive impact on her students each day.
